Activities

Diving & Snorkeling   The water is what the Abacos are all about. This may be the best place in the world for diving and snorkeling. Most of the year the water temperature is in the 80's and clarity can better than 150 ft. The Abacos have the third largest barrier reef in the world and within swimming distance from the beach in several places. Dive Guana can arrange everything from beginner lessons and dive trips to SCUBA certification.

Explore the Island   Guana Cay is seven miles long, covered in foliage and surrounded by beaches. The best way to see the island is by golf cart. Donna Sands Golf cart rentals has a large fleet of well maintained golf carts available for daily or weekly rental. Bicycle rentals are also available from Dive Guana.

Fishing   Wether it's deep sea, light tackle off the dock, bone fishing in the flats, diving for conch or spearing lobster, fishing is great in Abaco. Charters are always available on Guana Cay. Contact Edmund Pinder or Henry Sands for half of full day guided trips. If on your own, remember to read up on fishing regulations, they are strictly enforced.

Boating   The best way to see the Abacos is by boat. The Sea of Abaco is a favorite of cruisers. Wether fishing, following the dolphins or exploring uninhabited islands a boat always seems to take the vaction to another level of enjoyment. If you visit in Spring or Summer, be sure to make a boat reservation early.
